Bento madness
I subscribe to several bento blogs on RSS. I love Bento TV. This is partly Kaja Foglio‘s fault, if only because she referred to them initially in her blog. Of course the rest of it is all me.
President’s Day, I convinced Maureen to come with me to Daiso, a Japanese dollar shop. They had a lot of cool bento stuff. So Tuesday I made Maureen and Keith bentos.
I decided on taco bentos. Here is Maureen’s:

I decided to use up some of the left over tri-tip we ate the other night. We had lettuce and tomatoes. Maureen cut the tomatoes up and skewered them on the cute picks. I made brownies and Maureen cut them up with the cookie cutters I gave her.
So cute.
In retrospect, I would have used lighter colored cups for the brownies for greater contrast.
Keith’s co-workers made all kinds of fun of him, even though I used the less cute bento set. Even so, I will definitely try to do it again. ^_^
