Family pictures and giant rabbits
Family pictures with young children is a little like herding cats. I also had the dubious honor of yanking on my Mother’s hair to pull her head up, since she can’t do it anymore. *sigh*
In the afternoon, Keith and I took Bridget and her boys to see Wallace and Gromit: Curse of the Were-Rabbit at the Lied IMAX theater. Kevin’s family couldn’t go because they wanted to go visit Brandee’s family for a holiday visit. We had fun anyway.
Photographers have often been overwhelmed by the size of our family. For the last 7 years, we have had young children, but now the youngest are 3, and it will soon become less painful. All together, there were 14 of us. Unfortunately, Chris couldn’t make it this year, or it would have been 15.
We did several whole family shots, then broke it down into groups. Mom and grandkids. Mom and kids. The Rossman boys. Kevin’s whole family. Maureen and George. Keith and myself. I’ll be interested in seeing the proofs.
Thanks Maureen!
I had really hoped to take all of the kids to Wallace and Gromit, so I was disappointed that Bridget and the Rossman boys couldn’t come ’til late Christmas eve, and surprised and disappointed that Brandee and Kevin were going to Lincoln. Today was the last day of the movie. Oh well.
It was excellent. Very few films are G rated anymore, and those that are tend to be dumbed down for the kiddies. This was not. There were jokes for all ages of kids, from 3 to 103. The boys really liked it too. Also the Hastings Museum which houses the IMAX theater had a penny smashing machine, so I was very happy.
