This is mostly a note to myself. When I’m doing something like volunteering at a Habitat for Humanity house, for gosh sake don’t wear a good pair of jeans or a non-crappy sweatshirt. Whatever I wear is just going to get covered in paint or drywall mud or something, and it’s probably going to ruin the clothes, so wear something kind of crappy.
Yesterday I was at this house; putting cement-fiber siding on house #2, with a bunch of other folks from Apple. The guy ( kid, really ) in charge of our team was quite impressed with how much we managed to get done.
